I agree. the few times I've the mechanics of a trick, I looked @ the performance differently. When people ask how I did a card trick, I tell themif I tell you then it wouldn't be magic.

he doesnt take masks secretly becasue towards the end his arms stayed down. He ddint touch his masks. And if he put them on secretly, how would he take all of the masks he had before, off of his face. Does he take 1 off then out one on in .01 on a seconds??

this guys amazing, I saw him once and recorded it myself, he did one change without completely covering the face, so I played it frame by frame to see how its done, I couldnt do it, one frame it was white, the next it was blue, I was amazed

from what I understand, this art is normally only passed down to male family members in the mask changer's family, so I doubt anyone has the option TO learn it, unless they happen to have 3,000,000 yuan to pay like Andy Lau.

I'd love to be able to do this!But at the same time, if I was offered the chance of knowing, I'd probably say no. I love watching how weird (good weird) this art is, and wouldn't want to spoil it for myself.As this has been kept a secret for so long, do you think the secrets will ever be revealed? I hope not. Don't wanna spoil the illusion.Would you learn it (regardless of race)? Knowing that you'd never see it the same way again?

The way I know it, is that all these masks are different kinds of layers silk and there attached to his face by a small rubber band and when he wants to change mask, he opens his mouth and the masks shoots off and goes into his hat... but I can't prove it...:P
