Anyway, that isn't proof, just some tendencies I found. But anyone who doesn't believe in astrology should take a look at Kurt Cobain's chart. He had almost all of his planets in the emotional water signs, and most of them in the extremely sensitive Pisces. This would explain alot why he was that depressed "noone understands me" kind of artist, and why he saw other people as superficial generally, water signs hate superficiality. You could see the same tendencies in Billy Corgan too.

Sometime ago I tried to find a correlation between the sun signs in musicians, which you could say represents our ultimate purpose. I noticed that most of them were in four specific signs. I could also see a difference between each sign: Gemini, the multi-genre/instrumentalists, Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz Pisces, the classic moody artist, Kurt Cobain, Billy CorganSagitarrius, the revolutionary, Hendrix, Keith Richards, Randy RhoadsCapricorn, the perfectionists, Jimmy Page, Jeff Lynne

These seem like quotes straight out of the book of new age wank:"...are we not part of the big picture..." (Say what??? We exist and believe what we believe.)"The function of astrology takes into account the life cycle on all levels symbiotic with the cycles of the planets" (So say the astrologers, but no one else.)"Astrolgoy recognises our connection with the cycles of our macrocosm." (It recognizes what doesn't exist)Woo woo claims with not one scrap of proof.

That may be your interpretation of what I said...I wasn't suggesting Einstein was describing astrology...see above. For the heavenly bodies and the traits of all people to be aligned must come from some divine being or force because it sure isn't any other known force.Indian astrologers believe it is part of religion.Astrology and religion share blind faith, no fundamental explanations for how it all works, dogma and numerous versions. A lot in common.

That is true, and I will try to look into it more than I have. The problems I have with astrology have more to do with the implications of a higher power than with anything else.

No, you're right, astrology and psychology generally lie outside of my field of interest. Given my experiences, I think that psychology does have flaws, but planetary cycles are a fairly vague guide by which to determine human nature. Of course we have A role in the bigger picture, but things like astrology seem to observe our role as the ONLY role, or at least the most important.

So you are equating astrology with religion. Getting back to basics - astrology has no CHURCH, no GOD, no BIBLE, no 'holy days'no order of disciples - I don't think Einstein was describing astrology - just his interpretation of the inadequacies of religion. What does god have to do with astrology?
zzytrewq (December 31, 1969 at 3:59 pm)
Einstein: "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this."
zzytrewq (December 31, 1969 at 3:59 pm)
All the heavenly bodies move in strict accordance with the laws of physics. For humans to be "aligned" with these bodies at the time of birth would mean a universal force somehow acts on the person at some critical stage. Such a powerful "force" isn't gravity or any other known or measurable force so I assume it must be the divine power of God. But any number of research studies to date have shown there to be no such "alignment". Therefore God is either a myth, or is not involved.
