Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech through a large screen Sunday marking the Martyr's Day in Beirut's southern suburb.Sayyed Nasrallah said that Israel's recent military training maneuvers near the Lebanese border were intended to prepare for a new war on Lebanon, adding that Hezbollah's own drills in southern Lebanon were in direct response to the Israeli exercises, intended to send out ''a clear message'' to the Israeli leadership that Hezbollah was ready to fight."The (Israeli) enemy has been conducting military maneuvers for months. The latest maneuvers occurred a few weeks ago near the Lebanese border in which 50,000 Israeli officers and soldiers participated," Sayyed Nasrallah said. "These maneuvers are to prepare for an attack on Lebanon," he said."I tell the (Israeli) enemy that these maneuvers were real, serious and big. I am not going to give details. There is a great deal of readiness (by Hezbollah) which the enemy must understand," his eminence said in his speech Sunday."These maneuvers were intended to send out a clear message to the world which is besieging us and to this enemy that that the resistance in Lebanon possesses determination, men and the necessary and sufficient weapons to defend Lebanon," Sayyed Nasrallah said drawing cheers from the crowd. Without elaborating, he added, "The resistance is ready to make a victory for Lebanon that will change the region's face."He also slammed the unconstitutional government for its inaction against the Israeli hostile moves and has not even condemned the action. "They don't consider Israel as the nation's foe and even some of them are pleased with it because Israel wants to eradicate Hezbollah," Sayyed Nasrallah said.Sayyed Nasrallah also promised that no power could force the resistance to give up its arms. "If the whole world came and tried, it wouldn't be capable of implementing the clause concerning the disarmament of the resistance in [UN Security Council] Resolution 1559," he told the crowd.Concerning the presidential poll in Lebanon, Hezbollah's Secretary General thanked Lahoud for supporting the resistance and called on him to step in if a consensus were not reached."We appeal to President Emile Lahoud to do what his conscience and national responsibility stipulates and take a step or a national salvation initiative to stop the country from [sliding into] a vacuum." Addressing Lahoud, Sayyed Nasrallah said, "Do not allow the country to fall into the hands of thieves and murderers."Sayyed Nasrallah also warned that the Lebanese national opposition would "never" accept a new president elected by simple majority and without a two-thirds quorum of legislators, adding that if a consensus president could not be agreed upon in the upcoming days, then the country should hold early parliamentary elections. "Let us hold early, transparent parliamentary elections where the true majority gets to elect the new president," he said.He also turned his attention to reports of potential problems brewing in Beirut's Palestinian refugee camps - Burj al-Barajneh, Sabra and Shatila - located in Beirut's southern suburbs."There will be no war between the camps and their neighbors," he said, calling on the Palestinians to act responsibly and not allow "strife to infiltrate the camps."Hezbollah Secretary General also warned against the recent move to privatize the cellular industry, a move long opposed by the national opposition with accusations that the tender would be rigged to favor bidders close to the unconstitutional government."Just you wait and see who buys it up," Nasrallah said, echoing the concerns of many observers who believe powerful politicians will steer the deal toward their cronies and/or relatives.

Unlike Jumblatt who criticised the israeli military commander, in their meeting at the Washington Institute, on why israel didn't destroy the resistance (by extension the wiping out of the whole of Souther Lebanon) the National Resistance believes in ONE and UNITED Lebanon.Just because Southern Lebanon is loyal to the Resistance, the government to this day has left it in ruins - and this is what you are so proud of! What a shame!

Lying to myself? Do you even follow the News? How many times did Jumblatt change his stance in the last week leading to the deadline on the consensus president. The guy is a clown. Anyone who has aspirations in politics should look at Jumblatt as a template on how NOT to conduct oneself. If you don't post responses, that's fine. The conveying of your views however, does not require posting of videos and from the above showing, they are all over the place! :)

But I like how u said in the beginning that he's a thug who has ''NO INTERESTS FOR LEBANON'' ... that reminds me of other people... people who make us pay with our economy.. and human life... Picking on Israel, Israel destroys Lebanon... and then they try to conquer the government so that they destroy what's left!

this is a news report you fool. do you even know how long the speech was?!jumblatt is a thug who has no interests for lebanon. all he cares about is his political career and his pocket. anyone who studies, even slightly, the history of the man will see him to be a worthless human being. he has in the last few weeks already asked ppl to prepare for war; such is the bloody vision of the man you speak highly about.
