Whenever someone makes a claim I find contradicted by data, I find it useful to refer readers to the data rather than asking them to referee a YouTube argument. Anyone wondering whether the Earth is warming or cooling should visit climate trend sites - HadCRUT3, NCDC, GISS, UAH, RSS. To me, both recent warming and long term anthropogenic warming trends are obvious, but readers should draw their own conclusions. HadCRUT details are at cru. uea. ac. uk/cru/data/temperature/hadcrut3gl. txt.

EUROPE is shivering through an extreme cold snap. One of the coldest winters in the US in more than 100 years is toppling meteorological records by the dozen, and the Arctic ice is expanding.

way off grastog, go back to the literature, the real world is passing you bye. Your voice is getting fainter.

One can distinguish non-scientists who derive information from blogs or media from those with science background who rely on original sources. A recent example is the "Daily Tech" (despite its name, an ideological publication), which selectively cites glacier growth, while the original source emphasized that the vast majority of glaciers continue to shrink in response to anthropogenic warming. Recent increases in the rate of sea level rise, in fact, reflect increases in global ice loss rates.

no warming here then!!

DailyTech has previously reported on the growth in Alaskan glaciers, reversing a 250-year trend of loss. Some glaciers in Canada, California, and New Zealand are also growing, as the result of both colder temperatures and increased snowfall.

After years of decline, glaciers in Norway are again growing, reports the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate

Despite disagreement on particulars, the science literature universally recognizes anthropogenic warming driven by CO2 emissions. Regarding the listed papers, anyone who reads and understands them will see they don't contradict basic anthropogenic warming principles Gore enunciated. Each is outdated to some extent, and those interested in the first should read the more recent papers not only by Douglass/Christy, but also Haimberger, Allen/Sherwood, and Santer for current perspectives.
