Hollywood is scared of originality & taking risks with their money, so they hedge their bets in thinking that if it was a hit once, it'll be a hit again. Repetition helps to lull the masses to sleep and accept the status quo life.

I saw this film but I didn't understand it. Why does Hollywood remake so many movies? Why is this movie even called The Manchurian Candidate when China isn't a part of this film? Why not make new films instead of remaking classics? It makes no sense.

I loved this film. It is one of the best films ever made. if you can think for yourself, then this is your film.

I'm saddened that Mr. Demme and Mr. Washington didn't call out who's who, and admit that these big corps DO CREATE wars with BS in order to make money and power. JFK had the balls to call them out, and it cost him his life. Perhaps they are smart enough to know not to publicly point fingers.
