Depends on your definition significant but even though political campaign ads or slogans are brief, they have often signified specific policy. E.g., James Polk's "Fifty-Four Forty or Fight!" -- the pledge to go to war with Canada over the border; Nixon's promise to withdraw from Vietnam (fulfilled five years late); Bush Sr's "No new taxes" pledge - a significant policy prescription, the breaking of which lead to his defeat in the next election. I could go on but the counter's running down.

It's actually called an argument--found in any political science and political economy curriculum at any reputable university. While you redefine definitions within subjective framing, here is another word for your "vast" vocabulary... PROPAGANDA. Your reframing of the terms "government" and "corporation" is just that, propaganda. Goebels and his contemporary counterpart, Karl Rove would be proud. You might benefit from educating yourself on basic political theory perspectives and methodologies.

Let's *THINK*Government - A single monopolistic entity with police powers that forces individuals to participate.Corporate - Thousands of entities run by private individuals engaging in their freedom of choice to interact. These entities often conflict and must compete in order to get outsides to CHOOSE whether or not they want to interact with the corporation.I'm sure that doesn't mesh well with your adolescent MTV logic, but when you grow up maybe you'll understand.

Or we can dismiss government all together and leave multi-national coporations in charge of policy needs. It's obvious that coporations only have the citzenry's needs at the top of their priorities. "Autopilot?" the pilot can dictate to us who we are and what we need--best enacted by means of consuming endless amounts of the newest iPhone and healthy organic BigMacs. A fascist hybrid wetdream of 1935 Nazi Germany and the military industrial complex Eisenhower so "naively" warned US about.

Please share with us any American political ad in the last half century (or the entire American political history) where policy prescriptions are outlined. Poltiical spots are more-or-less commercials and rarely contains significant substance.
